David Sibley, famous bird field guide author and artist, is working on some very interesting experiments attempting to reduce the number of birds having window collisions. Read more about it at his blog, here.

I have not tried the yellow marker yet, but I think it would make a wonderful science project. I have the window screens which I ordered on the web. They are easy to assemble, do not obstruct the view, and appear to really help.
